The menu for this dry is a reflection of place, season, and story. Built from what’s around us, it leans into the coastline and the bush with karkalla, sea blight, samphire and saltbush. Ingredients that carry the essence of this landscape in every bite.

As the humidity fades and the days sharpen, so too does our menu. It’s lighter, more intentional and deeply connected to where we are right now.

We are so incredibly grateful for our crew kicking off the season like the absolute superstars they are. There is always an extensive amount of work and effort that goes on behind the scenes and with all the balls in the air yesterday we still showed up and put on the show we know and love.

Exhibiting at @tourismtopend Welcome to the dry and again Today for the travel expo. Make sure you come and say g’day. From 10am - 2pm open to the public with some fantastic prizes up for grabs!

Munro was out with @saltybrumby for a half day fishing charter!!! 🎣🎣🎣

@oli45383 The deckhand we all know and love always keeping the boat afloat!!!

Our new head chef @thestorytellerchef and returning chef @nattysmith_96 prepping up a storm…quite literally when the rain set in at 3pm!!! But we stuck to our guns and managed dry seats by 5pm to throw ropes! 😮‍💨

And everyone’s efforts paid off when nature put on the real show, giving us an epic sunset to set the season!!

We’re proud to welcome our new chef, Zach Green aboard Cape Adieu for the 2026 Dry Season.

For Zach, food is far more than what’s on the plate, it’s a powerful connection to history, culture, and community. Inspired by countless hours spent alongside his beloved Nan, he learned early on that food can be a language, one that tells stories, honours tradition and brings people together.

Zach brings a deep passion for storytelling through food. His approach celebrates local flavours, cultural knowledge and connection to Country. Creating immersive dining experiences that honour the land, sea and its people. This season promises to be one enriched with authenticity, creativity, meaning...and fun, there is always room for fun aboard the Cape.

At the heart of it all, Zach is a family man. His wife, Bobbi and their four sons are his greatest inspiration, keeping him grounded, driven and connected to what matters most. It’s set to be a busy year for Zach, who will be sharing his culinary skills through chef demonstrations across the country, while also hosting his own dining experiences with @fireandforage_ .

Words from Zach himself: “The reason I jumped at the chance to be the chef on Cape Adieu is simple, it’s not every day you get to cook local produce for people while watching the sunset on the water. Grace and Munro are a big part of why Darwin is the place to be in the Dry, and what they’re doing on the Cape is exactly why I came on board to be a part of it.”
